Oorspronkelijk gebrouwen door brouwerij Grade te Mont-Saint-Guibert. In 1971 nam brouwerij Artois een participatie in de brouwerij en in 1996 werd de productie van Vieux Temps er stopgezet en overgebracht naar Leuven.

Old rating from 1999 - 330ml bottle on my Belgium trip. Pours amber with a beige head. Aromas & tastes of caramel, stone fruit, honey, apple, bread, vanilla, herbs & malt. Medium body. Dry finish

4 November 2019. At Café Vlissinghe, Bruges. Cheers to my dad & uncle's birthday! Pours clear amber with a lasting, small, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of peanuts, caramel, brioche, hay, apple peel. Taste has malty sweet caramel, red apple & brioche, soft herbal & nutty bitterness with a faintly sourish touch. Ends dry, grassy hoppy, herbal tea-like, faintly caramelly still. Light to medium body (at best), creamy texture, soft carbonation. Easily drinkable spéciale belge, not much to say about it.

Slightly hoppy aroma and flavor with only a hint of citrus. Big creamy head. Just a bit thin with a fairly long hopbitter finish. Just a hint of licorice. Decent Belgian ale.

25cl bottle. A clear very dark golden beer with a huge big beige head. Aroma of sweet caramelish malt, hints of spices and belgian yeast. Taste of caramelish moderate sweet malt, sweet fruits, yeast. Nothing special.

0.25l bottle thanks to Cristobal37. Clear dark orange body with a white head. Aroma and taste of toast, bread, pears, plums and a bit of spicy hops. OK beer.

Hier ook fles 4.5%. Amberkleurig bier met mooie stevige schuimkraag. Smaak is licht zoet met een fruitige bijsmaak, iets van bessen en mango. Heeft inderdaad veel weg van een standaard Leffe zoals eerder aangegeven..

Color ambarino epuma blanca, sabores a malta notas dulces cuerpo ligero.
