Ridiculously hazy (obviously) straw coloured body with a lot of bubbles somehow still noticeable rising from the bottom, with a pretty thick, three centimetre tall off-white head that fades quickly and leaves a soapy lace on the sides. Aroma of oranges, grass, hay, light flowers and dryness with a touch of fruit candy in the mix too, with wheat and sugars obvious, too. Medium-bodied; Odd, really wierd soured, puckering flavours of lemon rind, and oranges slices noticeable at first that tastes like something is definitely off here, but then some wheat at light oaty malt notes come through as well as some fruit candy sweetness with little else and no bitterness or traditional hop flavours. Aftertaste shows that tart and really sour fruit and funky yeast profile without any real hints of an IPA here at all - this is a 'sour ale', period, despite what any label says. Overall, I think I prefer this as the beer intended, I just don't like assuming that I'm drinking an IPA before I open the can (or for me, before I left the store and the state!) - this is very fruity, very soured and NOT hoppy at all! Great to sample tough and recommended - as a SOUR - NOT an IPA, and I'm rating it as such! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Siciliano's in Grand Rapids, Michigan on 02-August-2021 for US$4,09, packaged on 16-November-2020 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 28-May-2022.
