The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass is light yellow, turbid, small head. Quite sourish aroma. Starts the same, quite sourish, notes of lemon and apricot, some wood. Finish more and more mild. Okay.

No head; orange-golden beer. "Interesting" nose, with musk, and stale or rancid hazelnut oil. Again hazelnut oil, if less rancid, in the taste. Toffee, not really sweet. Thin bodied, very slick all the same. Hazelnut oil (or the honey?) wrecks it, if not completely. OK to say that a beer is perfect for roast and cakes, but it ought to be kept drinkable on its own as well.

From bottle, blind tasting at Papsoes - beer no 26. Pours hazy orange with a dense white head. Mellow malt aroma. Slight herbal bitterhops aroma too. Flavour is soft malty, not much more going on. Has a mild bitterness before the finish. Slight dough like yeast note.

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of Ungstrup. Hazy, amber golden with an off-white head. Surprisingly neutral aroma. Medium body with lightly sweet caramel and yeast. A touch of diacetyl. A bit low in carbonation and hardly any hop bitterness. Bland. 021107

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is of over ripe fruit and dusty hops. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of citrus and fruit, leading to a slightly dry woody finish.

Muddy orange color; creamy head. Puke and plastic aroma. Dry mouthfeel, some sweetness, light malt flavor, very light bitter oranges. Useless.

Cloudy copper color. Quite smooth, but there is no honey, no malt flavor, no hop aroma, and the yeast is nothing special; medium-high bitterness at the end. I can homebrew something better. I’m disappointed.

[Bottled] Hazy golden, rich head. Sweet and fruity with evident notes of honey. Medium bodied with lively, fairly soft mouthfeel.Low bitterness. I’ve never quite got the point with honey ales, but this one is well crafted, even if it is not the most exciting beer ever.
