Courtesy of Matteo; from La Tana del Luppolo, Bologna
batch 024-08, 14/08/08, thus bottled two months ago
There is a lot of yeast in the bottle, even when pouring carefully I get a glass of cloudy orange-amber beer with very little head, not much carbonation in the bottle. There is some hop aroma, but more English than Cascade; it’s also a bit metallic, blood-like. It has some malt flavor, reasonable bitterness, again English hops, quite grassy ones, no fruitness (hence no Cascade); also there is a bit too much yeast flavor and traces of cooked vegetables; as usual the brewing process from this brewery is not perfect. Ordinary final. Drinkable, but not much professional.
