--> merkwürdiges Dunkel!

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a small and off-white head. Aroma is roasted breadish. Slight peppery spiced flavoured, dry malty - a bit flat. Light bitterness into a dry roasted malt finish.

Bottle: Presumably copper coloured with a medium-sized fluffy off-white head, that slowly collapses; relatively dry malty nose with a nutty touch; light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied but quite soft; becomes a bit drier in the caramelly and nutty finish, that is followed by a light hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste. Nothing to complain......

Bottle. Caramel malt and orange aroma. Copper color with moderate head. Slightly sweet caramel malt and bitter grass hops flavor. Nicely blended. Nice mixture of malt and hops - quite nice.

Bottle, thank Pivnizub. Amber, golden head. Light metallic straw aroma. Caramel base, grassy hop counterpoint. Medium to light body, sparkly mouthfeel, lacks the velvet quality I associate with a good vienna. Quick finish. Pretty uneventfull.

(bottle) Clear, amber colour with a big and slightly tanned foamy head. Moderately sweet and sour doughy nose with notes of cara-malts, draff and diacetyl. Sweet and minimal bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Cara-malty and doughy taste with draff and sweat; sweet and lasting metallic finish. Absolutely disappointing by Franconian standarts. 23.XI.09

Bottle, courtesy of KimJohansen. A clear, golden beer with an off-white head. Slightly sourish on the nose, in a berry-ish way. Good dash of caramel too. Caramel, fruits and some sourness in the mouth. Dry, medium body and a decent bitterness in the finish. Didn’t ring any of my bells, it’s too uninteresting. 090822

Bottle, 4.9%. Clear dark brown colour. Very small head. The flavour is bready, has a little malt. Slightly anonymous, but OK.
