Bottle, 4.8%. Seems clear golden, but there are some small floating bits in there. Very small white head. Quite bitter, but slightly unpleasant.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of MiP. Pours a cloudy golden with a white head. Fruity nose with some yeast. Medium body, malt and yeast accents with a fairly dry and hoppy finish. 210809

Clear golden with a large white head. Sweet aroma with a medium white head. Sweet malty aroma with caramelish and hoppy notes. Finished bitter.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and a bit of straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of metal, alcohol, straw, malt, and caramel, leading to a bitter finish.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a huge white head. Aroma is dry malty and slight grassy. Mild grassy, spiced and light roasted breadish aroma. Bitter, roasted and breadish flavoured. Dry and breadish flavoured finish.

Swing top bottle. Orange blonde color. Pear, dust and a hint of flowers in the aroma. Flowery earthy flavor with hints of cardboard, yeast, pear and mango. Earthy bitter aftertaste. Just a bit thin. Could be better.

Bottled. Golden colour, mediumsized white foamy head. Aroma is barnyardy, peasoup, grains and lots of earth. Flavour is peas, vegetables, some grass, hay and earth.

Bottle. Light fruity aroma. Cloudy orange, low head. Light herbal hops, minerally and fruity yeast Fine hop bitterness in the back of the throat. Medium body, wellagered mouthfeel. Fresh nice zwickl.

Draught, at the brewery: Hazy, deep golden, creamy, stable off-white head; sweetish malty-barnyardy nose with a very distinctive floral hoppiness; solid bitter-sweet flavour, soft MF; lingering bitter-sweet, slightly fruity, but mainly hoppy finish. Very pleasant franconian quality...........

(swing top bottle, purchased at the brewery) Hazy, bright golden colour with a massive and persistent, slightly off-white foamy head. Moderately sweet, doughy malty aroma with hints of cara-malt, also yeasty fruity with fresh herbal and slightly grassy hops. Sweet-bitter flavour, grainy malty, yeasty and slightly fruity taste, light to medium bodied with a pleasant and matured carbonation. Moderately dry, bitter-sweet finish with a herbal, slightly grassy hoppy touch. Well-made Zwickel from a top notch brewery (16.02.08).
