0.3 litre vase shaped glass, on-tap in the ’Lammstube’ Bad Krozingen on 19th Sep 2013. Looked good in it’s correct fluted glass, bright, clear and clean, just like a golden Pilsner should look in fact. No great aroma, like most Pilsners: some grainy hope notes maybe. Gets my standard score of three for a non-smelling lager/pilsner. The taste was sharp and crisp with the hops pushing the malt content into the background. Refreshing, but without really having any true flavour to get into, it is OK and I suppose typical of the many beers brewed around the world in this style.

Golden crisp yellow with a mild head that doesn’t stick around long. Medium bitterness that lingers awhile. Ends up with faint sourness.

Light blond color; big head, but with egg-white texture. The aroma has both some hop and some corn. Dry mouthfeel, but smooth; there are shades of noble hops, along with a flavor that is a bit corn-ish; it’s also quite earthy (grass and manure, light). Not too bad.

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a fluffy white foamy head. Discreet aroma of grainy malt with shades of honey and hops far in the background. Moderately sweet flavour with a tinge of bitterness, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Sweet pale malt-character with a shy grainy touch; sweet malty and muted hoppy finish with a very restrained level of bitterness. Easy-going but nothing more. 17.X.10
