Bottle. Clear amber/copper with an ok white head. Aroma of grains, malts with some spicy and earthy hops. Taste of grains, straw, malts, old butter and undefined fruits. Slightly sweet and spicy. Moderate bitterness. Medium carbonation. Ok by Eschenbacher‘s (admittedly low) standards.

0,5 l bottle as Schloßbrauerei Söldenau Märzen from Zisch, Wildeshausen. Clear dark copper in the glass, one finger nearly white head. Sweet caramel malty smell. Taste is also malty, fruity, low roasty. Sweet for a Märzten. Little bit metallic dry, some bitterness. Low carbonation. Okay.

Eschenbacher Edelmärzen, Flasche aus 6er-Tragerl Bayerische Bierprobe vom GP GetränkeMarkt, Großbeeren. - Satt kupfergold, klar. - In der Nase milde überreife Frucht, sehr süßes und nur schwach toastiges Malz, Traubenzucker, dazu milde krautige Hopfung. - Antrunk matt karamelsüßlich-toastmalzig mit schwacher, dumpf krautiger Hopfung, die in harte Bittere übergeht. Leichte ranzig-nussige und holzige Fehlaromen. Milder rezent, vollmundig aber hart im Mund. Im Abgang leere Hopfenbittere. - Billig gemachtes Märzenbier, anfangs zu süß, dann stumpf und derb bitter. Schlossbrauerei Söldenau Märzen, derzeit lohngebraut bei der Eschenbacher Privatbrauerei; Flasche aus dem GP GetränkeMarkt, Großbeeren. - Kupfergoldbraun, klar. - In der Nase leicht stumpfes toastiges Malz, Karamelbonbon, matte herbale Hopfung. - Antrunk satt toastig malzig mit schöner karamelliger Süße, grundiert von matter aber ausreichender herbaler Hopfenherbe und feiner Orangenbittere. Milder rezent, vollmundig. Im Abgang noch schön nussig-malzig und fein hopfenherb; im Nachtrunk unschön stumpf und leicht blechern. - Nettes Märzen mit solidem Toastmalzcharakter, vielleicht etwas zu kostensparend gebraut, dennoch rund und süffig. NRW-Flasche: Clear, copper-coloured, small and stable off-white head, mild to moderate sweetish pale-malty nose with some toasty(? , or Blockmalz...)spots, invisible hops hard to detect; moderate sweet and mildly bitter flavour, medium bodied; shorter malty finish, not completely balanced by a mild bitterness. Not bad, just a bit monotonous...

Gyönyörű pasztell mogyoró szinje van. Ízvilága édeskés, van benn egy kis minimál kelleresség, tudjatok az a pinceszáraz one. Proper festbier. Selymes mint a tajték.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldenes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig, würzig, leicht fruchtig. Geschmack malzig fruchtig, getreidig, leichte Bitterkeit.

Aroma is slightly sweet with malt, hints of sugar, honey, solvent and cardboard. Flavour is sweetish and slightly tart with malt, sugar, nettles and honey. Decent, nothing offensive here.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass very zippy, nice head. Starts strong and spicy, fine malty, modest dry. More and more soapy and a bit sourish. Finish not too balanced. Starts good, finish rather disappointing.

500ml bottle. Clear golden colour with good frothy white head. Malty and grainy, hidden bitterness, a bit watery in the middle part, sparkling on tip of the tongue, eructation provoking.
