50 cl bottle @ HBF ’11. Rated on 08.04.2011
Aroma has grainy malt, some hay and hints of fruits. Flavour has grainy notes, some hay, hints of peaches and caramel. Palate is a bit too high on CO2. Typical and good kellerbier

2011-02-16, bottle from Getränkemarkt Grimm, Schweinfurt, 6-4-5-2-11=28
Beautiful color, dark amber - red, with medium sized head; but not hazy as the naturtrüb would suggest. Light, delicate aroma of roasted malt, with very light bread touch. Caramel flavor, light roasted malts, with an extremely dry mouthfeel that takes the pleasure away and creates an almost metallic finish; correct bitterness. It manages to be boring.

2011-02-11, draught at the Schweinfurt Brauhaus on Markt, 6-4-7-3-13=33
Dark brown color; creamy head. Light aroma of roasted malts. The body is quite round and smooth; there is a good flavor of mildly roasted malts, some dark chocolate, light residual sweetness. Correct bitterness. Chocolaty final. Quite good.

Bottled@Helsinki Beer Festival 2011. Deep amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is fruits, earth, some cellary notes, mild earth as well as some saltwatery notes. Flavour is quite similar, earthy and malty along with spices and some herbs with mild fruityness coming in towards the finish. Wellbalanced.

Brown. Hazy. The aroma has a healthy dose of breadcrust. Very herbal hop mit decent breadcrust on the palate. The body is fairly light and the carbonation quite high for a kellerbier.

Bottle: Hazy, amber coloured, quickly diminishing off-white head; dark malt, caramalt, nuts and some fruits in the aroma; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; traces of cacao in the bitter-malty finish. Decent, but a bit unharmonic. Is it a Dunkel or a Kellerbier....

(bottle) Clear, reddish brown colour with a mid-sized beige foamy head. Sweet and slightly yeasty roast-malty, melanoidinic and a bit Bock-like aroma with caramel. Moderately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with an almost crispy carbonation. Roast-malty, minimal yeasty taste with hints of dark bread, caramel and light herbal accents; dry (it´s “hochvergoren”) and moderately roasted, malt-accented finish with a light burnt and hoppy bitterness. A pleasant "zwickl´ed" Dunkel (23.05.08).
