Bottle at Chris_o birthday bash 08. Thanks to Hughie for this one. Amber, thin beige head. Red ale type aroma. Red ale flavours in mouth. Bit of whisky in there somewhere, but ok and much better than I was expecting too.

Bottle, Carringtons, Didsbury. Pours a muddy copper colour. Sweetish malty aroma. Quite a strange flavour but not unpleasant - sweetish again with hints of chewy toffee. Would try again.

Caramel aroma. Light copper color with a rapidly diminishing white (or beige) head. Medium body with crisp, plentiful carbonation. The flavor is caramel well balanced with bitter. It finishes fairly dry with a good dose of bitter. Probably floral hop as per description. It’s really quite tasty, and the bitter builds as consumption continues.
