Clear golden with little white head. Lots of sweet grains with some dust and normal bitter hoppy stuff. Bad.

Canned at Red Hill Bar, Takayama. Pours clear golden with white head. Malty, sweet, rice, short finish with hint of bitterness, watery. Thin bodied. Drinkable, and that’s about it.

Can, thanks to my wife for nicking out to the slev. Gold, white head stick around a while. Hay, mild spices a slight whiff of pears. Sweet and reasonably clean but empty in the middle. Dry with some spices and moderate bitterness.

35 cl can. Golden color, big white head. Lagery smell, straight forward. Aroma of sugary malts, biscuits, followed by a quite intense bitterness for the style. Metallic bitter finish, solid lager.

35cl can from Yours Livi, Hiroshima. Pours golden with a modest, white head. Mild malty aroma with hints of fruits, grass and metal. Moderate to medium sweet with mild flavours and a light, but noticeable bitterness. Pretty standard pale lager without much flavour or bitterness to speak of.

Finally got around to rating this beer. A lot of memories, it used to be slightly more expensive than Asahi, Kirin or Suntory and I had it only as a special treat as a student. Thought it was the best Japanese beer. Well, now I know better :) Pours clear golden, bit of white foam, quite aggressive carbonation. Aroma has malty character, lots of sweetness and some wet cardboard. Taste is malty-artificial sweetner-sweet. A bit of bitterness at the end and a short finish. Not really the beer I thought it is when at university but well, at least it seems to have more body compared with other big industrial beers. I guess I will still drink it once in a while.

Can thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - golden with an attractive fluffy head, some of which hangs around. Nose - honey or even syrup. Taste - same again, but somehow very thin too. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and it doesn’t finish clean which is definitely an issue with lager. Overall - if a lager doesn’t refresh you, it’s not doing anything.
