Bottle, 6%. Slightly malty aroma with a little aroma hops. Clear chestnut colour. Big stable light brown head. The flavour is more or less like the aroma, but sugary rather than malty.

A strong beer, that is also priced somewhat above the more common beers. However, the taste is only marginally more interesting than the more generic strong beers. I feel like the 6% alc. is too dominant. The beer tastes like a classic doubled up, with some brown suger added. It is not at all bad, but neither is it special. The rating could be higher if there was a twist somewhere, something that made it stand out. But there is not imo.

Bottled. Brown, with an off-white head. Light roasted maltiness and a bonfire-like sourness in the nose. The flavor is sweet and lightly caramelized. Medium body. Pleasant, but nothing more. (060430)
