Is there anything better than a cold pilsner on a hot summer’s day? Ørbækker fits the bill perfectly. It is fresh, crisp and easy to drink - with much more going for it than your average pilsner.

Our Ørbæk Pilsner is a Czech-inspired pilsner. We decided to use the Czech Saaz hop, which was already used in the 19th century when making traditional pilsner in Czechoslovakia. It is a unique hop, which lends the beer a lovely floral aroma.

Ørbækker is a real thirst quencher, and the Czech inspiration gives it a lovely, fresh taste. The fresh taste of flowers and light grapes is followed by an aftertaste of apricot and mandarin.

Flaske 330ml fra Vinmonopolet, Tromsø Langnes. Lys gulgrønnbrun. Litt uklar. Middels høyt luftig skum. God aroma av mais & høy. Smaken samme preg med en litt tørr ettersmak. Direkte god pilsner som passet utmerket til mat.

330ml bottle, 4.8 % abv, from Vinmonopolet Langnes in Tromsø. Decent white head slowly diminishing over a near-clear golden body. Poor lacing. Pale malt and bread on the nose. Taste of pale malts with a touch of oily hops. More sweet than bitter to the ending. Medium to thin bodied and soft carbonated. Silent partner to our lamb pie (24.05.2015).

Bottle. Pours clear pale golden with airy white head. Clear aroma of hops. Bitter flavour of hops with subtle sweetish touches of malt, ending on a paperlike note. Dry aftertaste. An acceptable BP but just that.

500 ml bottle, from NETTO. Økologisk / organic. ABV is 4.6%. Golden colour, large white head. Moderate aroma of floral hops, some sweetish malts too. The flavour has some malty sweetness, and is not very "crisp". Some floral hops again, but the bitterness is too moderate. A hint of honey. A drinkable pilsener, but does not really stand out from the crowd.
