Converting ticks to ratings. Had this in 2011, at the UDRM. Harsh Imperial stout, lots of carbonation, tobacco, not very pleasant. Expected more.

Gode minner fra min første ordentlige ølrejse til København i mai 2010 (Tap1)! Flaske (batch 270809-108), kjøpt på Ølbutikken da den lå i Victoriagade. Drukket på hytta på Nørrebro, og jeg var i ferd med å oppdage ølets gleder på en ny måte. Detaljert forbrukerinformasjon på den nøkterne etiketten: EBC 82,5. BU 65,1. OG/FG 22,0/5,3 Plato. Malts: Pilsner, Me140, Aroma 150, Chocolate, Café, Black, Wheat. Hops: Pilgrim, Celeia, Cascade. Mine korte notater nevnte kaffe, sjokolade, lakris, nøtter, karamellsødme blandet med en deilig bitterhet. Munnen ble fylt av gode smaker, og de 9,44 gjorde sitt: I’ve never looked back.

50cl Bottle. Trade with Enjoyit. Pours black with a small stable beige head and lacings. Roasted coffee and chocolate in both nose and flavor but unfortunatly also some oxidation already. BB December 2010. A bit of dark fruit. Dry and roasted finish. Medium bodied. Got the feeling that this is amazing when fresh!

Bottle @ Home. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of hard roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate. Taste is hard roasted malt, light smoke, coffee, dark chocolate. Full body, low ccarbonation. 190110

Bottle. black colour with a beige head. Aroma is coffee, malt, hop, burned. Flavour is burned, coffee, hop, licorice, chocolate. Pleasent nice beer.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of both sweet and roasted malt combined with notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet and very roasted with notes of malt and caramel.

Bottle, from trade with Papsoe. It pours a black body under a cute finger-thick beige head. Chocolate and coffee blends nicely in the nose, slightly burnt too, but not much. Hops lurking in the back. Quite dry in the mouth, with coffee and lots of chocolate. Chocolate sweetness tries to compensate for the dryness. Dry, bitter finish with chocolate and coffee. A pleasant one, sure one of the better ones from the now defunct brewery. 100410

Black color; medium-sized head, but not persistent. The aroma is not strong, caramel and roasted malt. It has a good body strength, with quite good chocolate flavor, sweetish caramel, low roasted malt; there is also a quite evident presence of liquorice. Average bitterness level, and in the end there is also some light sourness from the roasted malt. Good but not exciting.

Bottled at You’ll Never Walk Alone in Kolding. Black with a lasting tan head. Roasted aroma with coffee and dark chocolate. Sweet and roasted flavour with burned/ashy notes
