On tap at Ølfestival 2012. Black with a minimal tan head. Roasted malt, licorice, wood, notes of "red wine" both in the aroma and taste. Also dark chocolate and some coffee. Long aftertaste with warming alcohol. Nice!

Aroma is surprisingly light with licorice and some coffee. Flavour has lots of licorice, some ash and well roasted malt. Also some warming alcohol. Rather dry and intensive.

Head is just a thin brown ring. Opaque black body. Deep velvety chocolatey malty aroma with earthy sugary cocoa notes. Dry-sweet resiny burnt chocolate taste with earthy caramelly notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, somewhat hot mouthfeel. Dry burnt coffee aftertaste with black chocolate and pepper notes. Nice, but the aroma is far more harmonic than the taste. (0.1l draft at DBF’11.)
