Hand pulled half pint at the Pheasant Inn & Brewhouse on 23rd May 2025. Dark brown/black bodied, beige crown. Malty with a chocolate leaning within it's flavours, soft, smooth and semi rich, nice finish to a heavy days drinking in Whitchurch with Auntie Sue and others.

Cask. Old Crown, Handsworth, Sheffield. Nearly black. Dense, sticky, lasting, beige head. Light roast coffee bean. Quite woody. Some charred wood, too. Some red berry tartness. Taste is ashy dry. Ought bitter. More of the tartness, which Iām really liking. Decent body. Dry, and light bitter finish. Very drinkable stout.

Cask at the Kelham Island Tavern on 6th February 2010. Virtually impenetrably black with a yellowish brown thin head. Rich, solid roast malts, bitter chocolate notes and a hint of spiciness. Smooth mouthfeel. A good stout.

Cask (handpump) @ Riverside, Sheffield, England. @ [ RBESG 09 ]Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, coffee notes. Flavor is moderate sweet to heavy and moderate bitter with a long duration, some sour milk and bit chemical. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20090717]
