Craft near Tottenham Court Road. Cask. Lightly hazy gold beer, untidy white head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Decent fine carbonation. Very light pale malts, whisper of grain. Floral bitterness and very light citrus. Dry finish. Disappointing, I would have thought Ilkley were capable of a better Golden than this barely passable affair.

Cask at the Elm Tree, Cambridge. Dark gold, almost clear with a thin wispy head. Light aroma of orange peel, kumquat, fruit loaf. Taste is a slight herbal sweet/sour, with a bitter medicinal finish and aftertaste. Watery palette. Not particularly good.

Cask @ Baum, Rochdale. Golden with a thick head. It’s a medium bitterness ale with a small fruity aroma.

Cask at Craft Clerko, 27/01/14. Lightly hazed golden orange with a good sized off white head. Nose is caramel, orange, biscuit tones, straw. Taste comprises light floral notes, orange, bread dough, caramel. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying closure. Ok GB affair.

Cask at Kitty’s, Helsinki. Colour is hazy golden with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Floral, fruits and dryness.

Bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours clear golden with a decent head. Citrus aromas, more lemon than orange. Taste has more of the same, but with something floral going on. A little too bitter on the finish, but it wouldn’t stop me having another.

50cl bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Pours golden with gentle bubbles and a nicely proportioned head. The nose is hay and citrus, probably lemon. The taste is more of the same with perhaps a little too sharp on the end, though very good. Overall, a good quaffer.

Cask @ Akkurat. Pours golden with a white head. Murky, herbal aroma. Taste has got notes of soap, red orange and honey. Harsh and rather unpleasant bitterness.

Cask. at Akkurat, Stockholm. Hazy golden. Fruity nose with plenty of hay. Mid sweet with soft, chewy mouthfeel. Medium bodied with lots of hay and spichne. Long sweaty bitterness. Lovely!
