(Cask at Angleterre, 20140801) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had fruitiness and citricness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, malts, spices, flowerness and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity and bitter. The spiciness induced by elderflowers took me by surprise. They didn’t spoil the aroma but messed up the flavours.

Tap@Pelt Trader, Cannon Street, London - Light gold with a small creamy white head. Floral and herbal hoppy notes, grassy, and can pick up the elderflower on the nose. Rather measured and light. Decent stuff.

Cask at Craft Beer Co, Brighton. It pours clear amber, with no head whatsoever. The nose is big on the floral, especially elderflower, sticky sweetness, perfumed, Potpourri and parma violets. The taste is strong elderflower, potpourri, light toast, grass, some bitterness and sweet white grape, with dryness in the finish. Medium body and completely flat. Perhaps not on top condition. Rather one-dimensional...the elderflower dominates.

Cask at Coach and Horses Dronfield - A light gold appearance, a small white head, with a very flowery nose. First taste gives a herb taste, elderflowers allegedly, but more like a weak IPA. Still very nice, and went well with the weather.

Third-pint served nicely chilled down at the B1Seacole Bar, GBBF ’11. Shiny surface to a deep golden body. Mild citric and floral nose. Airy taste of lemony hops added by a smooth touch of spices. Light velvet palate with dry bitter endnotes. Clean and refreshing (Earls Court, London 02.08.2011).
