Cask at the Fieldhouse, Solihull. Poured almost black with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is light sweet malt. The flavour is moderate sweet with a smoky malt, light liqourice, smooth creamy caramel palate. Full bodied with flat carbonation.

Very dark, almost black. Has a strange grassy aroma and flavour with a drier finish. It absolutely doesn’t have body & depth!

Half pint. Filmy, beige head resting on a ruby-black body. Dark fruity nose. Flavour brings late orange notes mixed with malts and a moderate bitter tail. Suppable (well-kept cask at Bricklayers Arms, Putney, London 18.03.2008)

Cask at The Bricklayers Arms Putney 4 Feb 08. Dark, dark red / black. A tiny off white layer. Strange but pleasant aroma of figs and plums. Complex flavor with plums and prunes dominating. Good!
