Cask at Borough Arms, Crewe. Pours golden amber with a small off-white head, good lacing and medium carbonation. Floral hops and grains to the fore in the aroma, plus some hints of malts. In the mouth it starts off sweet and creamy but with a little underlying bitterness. This bitterness gradually increases and oranges and marmalade come through along with hints of ginger and spices. Finish is bitter and somewhat sticky. It’s reasonable.

Cask @ Barum Top Inn, Halifax. Full bodied with some pale character too it, can feel overbearing in its texture, but does have taste and flavours and is quite malty.
