I really like this stuff, so much so I picked up another bottle and drinking it right now. It pours beautifully; black color with some brown tints. The head is very nice, large and brown and turns to a surface covering lacing. Long story short, this is the perfect quaffable Irish Stout (a bit stronger than the traditional I guess). Aroma is lightly milky and prominent dry ashy roast. There is also a leafy/airy aspect, making this light and give it s bio-natural appeal. It’s not strong but pleasantly there. The taste is very nice as well with coffee and a long burnt/roast/espresso bean aftertaste, really lingers. And all the time its just so light and easy to drink with no off flavors at all. I think I am going to down this whole awesome bottle myself, at 6% why not?.

02/03 Thanks a lot to ogivlado for sharing his 0.75 l bottle @ Tolkiens pub, Zagreb! Poured dark brown, almost black body with medium brownish head. Malty aroma, with chocolate, dark fruits, caramel and hint of lemon or oranges. Very nice and pretty complex. Flavor is also good, far much simpler though, bittersweet, chocolate and dark fruits spiced with some herbs. Full bodied, with fantastic finish, bittersweet fruitiness and spices, relatively dry but not so as it would be with a dry stout. Very tasty and delicious beer, well, it’s been almost 3 months since I had a beer deserving a 4. Really nice.

Black coloured, medium to big tan head, chocolate malty nose. Roasted malt and dark chocolate taste with few fruity hints. Strong bitter chocolate finish and lingering bitter aftertaste. Very nice brew, like light imperial stout.

0.75 fliptop bottle.at Tolkien’s Pub, Zagreb, shared with ogivlado Now this was a first... a new Irish beer and I’m the first to add it. Cool. Poured a nice opaque black (very dark red) body with a medium to big sized thick tan head that went away slowly (cascade effect I reckon). A strong roasty malty nose, some orange dipped in dark chocolate, and a light hopiness to round it up. The taste is somewhat light and not terribly complex but it’s very nice anyway. A bitter earthy roastiness, chicory, dark chocolate & orange again, more pronounced, close to a good imperial stout in taste, but with a lighter body (obviously) and much more drinkable than most. Nicely balanced. I quite liked this one. So much better than their regular stout (not to mention red). I’d buy this more often if I had it readily available.
