Bottle: Hazy, amber coloured, mid-sized beige head - slowly collapsing; sweet caramelly (with touch of turpentine aka necrotic yeast) nose with a yeasty-wheaty background; moderate sweetish-sourish flavour, light to medium bodied, soft MF; phenolic traces again in the caramelly-wheaty finish. A rather mediocre brew from a good brewery.........

Bottle 50cl.Unclear hazy medium orange amber color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, light caramel, moderate yeasty, matured banana. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is creamy, carbonation is soft. [20090625]

Bottled at Cinema, Aschaffenburg, Bavaria. Hazy orange/brown. Aroma of orange, banana and toffee. Sweet with spritzy, rounded mouthfeel. Some banana cake flavour, but it fades quickly, leving it with an empty finish.

Hazy amber-orange, toffee colour; yellowish head. Nose with caramel, fruity (maybe some banana). A bit of solvent in the taste, a bit bitterder, woodier than the Helles. Ends on notes of lemonpeel. Medium bodied, slight viscosity, just enough carbonation. Nice dark Weizen. I usually prefer dark Weizens, certainly when, like this one, they are brewed, rather than coloured to Dunkles.

(Bottle 50 cl) Now called: "Distelhäuser Dunkles Hefe-Weizen". Pale brown and unclear, slightly off-white head that last all the way through. Highly carbonated. Incredibly lovely fruit-esters with lots of citrusy notes. Some underliying sourness. Not that much to add - a great experience. 160505

Bottle. Sweet banana and cherry aroma. Cloudy light brown color with ample head. Slightly sweet banana and malt flavor - moderate carbonation but very light for a dunkelweizen.

Re-rate from Bottle: Good spicy and roasted wheat notes, fruityness is the same. Fullbodied, chewy, a bit fizzy. Ryebread aftertatse, cherries, clementine retronasal. Certainly seems a lot more comlex this time around. Old rating: 6 4 6 2 11 Light banana and berry aroma. Cloudy orange-brown, fluffy off-white head. Lightflavored weizen: A bit grain, banana and berries. Light body. Lacks kick.
