A popular, old-fashioned British brew that unfortunately has become a rarity these days, Brown Porter owes its dark hue and name to the use of brown malts, which lend color but also distinctive, delicate notes of coffee and cocoa. Thanks also to its low alcohol content, it’s surprisingly easy to drink for a dark beer.

At Eurhop 2015 in Rome - Italy, on tap. Black pour a bit dark brown, off white head. Nose: milled coffee, fresh toasted malt. Mouth: Nescafé, watery, a bit brown sugar. Easy. Perfect execution. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
