50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden hazzlenut brown with a small off-white head. Mild hops fruity aroma, light nutty too. Sweet fruity and light caramelish flavoured, citrusy hops note before the finish. Ends medium bitter, dry and with a light roasted malt note.

(Draught at Glenfiddich Warehouse No 68, Stockholm, 13 april 2007) Dark brown colour with foamy, beige head. Malty nose with notes of yeast and spices (clove, cinnamon). Malty, spicy taste with notes of yeast, cardamom, clove and dark rye bread. Balanced sweetness. Well made, but a bit on the "safe" side.

Amber to dar amber color; small head. Aroma of malt, mature; some caramel; young oak wood, almost vanilla. Quite ordinary taste, with a lot of caramel (not too bitter) and a final alcohol warmth. Not exciting…

Bottled (BB 08/2005)
Copper red color, lots of carbonation, small brownish head, quickly vanishing. Strong malty-rye bread aroma, somewhat metallic, hints of toffee. Malty body, slightly roasted with caramel sweetness. Otherwise quite similar to Mallaskoski’s Vahva Tumma kuohu but lacks its hop character.

Bottle. Malty aroma. Dark chestnut brown colour, very small head. Flavour is also malty, with a smoked or roasted hint. Aftertaste is dusty. Good, solid mouthfeel for its ABV with nice, mild carbonation.

(Bottle 50 cl) We have been discussing the colour of this beer a lot. Pernille claims: Dark amber or like Medova tea. Katja claims: like Fun apple/blackcurrant cordial OR like the furniture at Holiday Inn in Pasila, Helsinki. I cannot really get any closer than those well developed opinions. Not much head, malty and sweetish, lightly nutty and caramel-like. Decently bodied and actually rather surprising that this isn’t any stronger. Delicious. 150405

Dark copper colour, not much head. Mild aroma of roasted malt with hints of caramel. Taste is smooth, but very weak, mainly of roasted malt and hints of citrus and caramel. Taste is not that Easterish in my opinion.

The aroma is sweet malty with notes of yeast and nuts. The color is red-brown and a beutiful beige head. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of grain, yeast, and nuts. It ends on a dry note. A very nice flavor, and a very nice beer. Thanks Per.
