Aass Fatøl is a straw yellow colored beer with an aroma of grain, malt and hops. The beer has a fresh taste with a low sweetness and balanced bitterness. This beer is brewed according to the German Purity Law. The product name "Fatøl" is the Norwegian word for draft beer. The product was once developed to imitate how pilsner tasted as freshly served.

Bottle 33cl. @ home.[ Trade by Maria ]. Clear medium yellow color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, cabbage water, vegetable, cardboard. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20090401]

(Can, ABV 4.7 %, BB 04/2009). Pale yellow color, small white head. Grainy, rubbery, corn malty nose. Sweet malty, almost sweetcorn flavor. Very watery. No bitterness. Metallic edge in the finish.

Canned (thanks yngwie!). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is grass, hops and some mild notes of wood. Flavour is the same along with fruity and plastic notes.

This one is OK. Corn and other adjuncts in the nose, but it doesn’t smell bad. Trace of hops in the flavor along with more corn. Akevitt was good to share.

Can at home ... Thanks Knut ...Nice clean golden yellow... Grassy with some lagery malt ... sweet light malty lager with touch of metalicness. But actually quite drinkable, which suprised me.

330 can at a hotel room in Oslo. Clear straw yellow. Fast fading white foam. Vague notes of fresh malty aroma. Very thin flavour of citric lemon with a hint of some kind of sweetness. Missing tail. Lively carbonation (can from Centra, Colosseum 16.03.2007).

Can 0,5l. Pale golden coloured. A large fluffy head (when poured from some distance). Oily mouthfeel. Sweet malty flavor. An unpleasant aftertaste with a dry, soapy finish.
