On tap at the Grosvenor Bar. Appearance -golden with a decent head. Nose - an intriguing mix of hay and nettles. Also a touch of lemon. Taste -ore hay but the lemon is just a little on the sweet side now. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a finish that is just a little too sweet but not too bad. Overall - solid but could do with more bitterness.

Keg at Six D North, Aberdeen. it pours hazy golden with a small white head. The nose is toasty, bitter-sweet, orange peel, sherbet and candy. The taste is crisp, orange sponge cake, peach, tangerine, oily, toast and minerals with a dry finish. Also has a bit of Irn Bru about it! Medium body, prickly carbonation and slightly sticky mouth-feel. Better than expected.

Bottle from Loch Fyne Hotel & Spa. Clear amber body with a thin white head. Average carbonation. Light lacing. Faint aroma of red fruits and straw. Flavour of sweet berries and grain. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Soft carbonation. Not bad but it’s particularly memorable.

Cask gravity at Pig’s Ear BF 09. Amber colour, lasting thin off white head. Yeast aroma, it’s an ok beer. Little bit empty in the mouth, but ok satsuma and yeast characters.
