*Old rating, best before 12.11. Frisch-würziges, leicht fruchtiges Bier. Mild-weich, schon deutlich gehopft, würzig-frisch. Interessant.

Bottle looks wonderful, but I dont like that twist-off cap. Beer in the glass deep golden, nice head. Starts very spicy, wheaty, modest sweet. Hoppy-dry background, but spicy notes are dominating. Finish very well balanced, grasy-spicy, very drinkable. A great beer!

Schraubverschlußflasche: Deep golden to very light amber coloured, mid-sized (off-)white head with a little lace; faint grainy aromas with a tinge of toasted malt; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, really light bodied for a beer of 5.5% ABV; slightly increasing bitterness towards the short, malty toasty finish. Quite bland and watery.......

(screw cap bottle) Clear, amber colour with a medium-sized slightly off-white foamy head. Sweet malty, slightly ashy nose with a tinge of caramel and popcorn. Moderately sweet flavour, slightly ashy and chalky malty taste; light to medium bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel; moderately dry, sweet-bitter malty finish with a shy hoppy shine. Not bad (24.02.08).

Bottled. A golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, and so sit the flavor, leading to a dry finish with notes of straw.
