0.65l bottle, shared with Ema @ Patrick. Aroma of raisins, caramel, dandelion syrup, cinnamon, licorice and chocolate. Pours cloudy dark brown color with thin creamy light brown head and fair lacing. Taste starts with toasted and burnt malt and cookies, follows by cinnamon, herbs and vanilla, mouthfeel is warm alcoholic, while finish is pretty bitter. Full body, thick oily texture and soft carbonation in palate. Sweet & spicy birthday dessert…

A very dar brown beer, a head is medium and slightly yellowish beige. Aroma has raisin, prune, chocolate, caramel, minor note a strenght of alcohol, cinnamon and liquorice. Taste has chocolate, some raisin, sweetness of dried fruits, hint of cinnamon. Nicely warming. Almost full bodied. Powerfull, strong 'raisin-dried fruits' slowing down a drinkability.

Bottle shared at Cotteridge Convention 2017. Cheers to the crew for banding together to purchase this fine bottle of ale. It pours clear brown with a creamy, khaki head. The nose has some nice coconut, toasted toffee. Medium to big sweet flavour with more fresh coconut, light chocolate, low bitterness, nips of cinnamon. Medium to full bodied, lightly oily, with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish. Great stuff overall.

Rating 5,000! 660ml bottle. Pours very dark brown with a large head. Aroma is boozy raisin, molasses, a little cinnamon. Taste has grainy cinnamon and raisin to start. Cinnamon finish with a burnt raisin aftertaste. Vanilla knocking about a bit. Boozy.

15 December 2018. Black Beer Fest, Ieper. Cheers to Anke, Erwin & Ama Deke! Hazy dark brown; no head. Aroma of raisin, plum, candi sugar, burnt caramel, cinnamon, clove, cookie dough, something vaguely medicinal. Taste is medium malty sweet, candi sugar, dough & molasses around a fruity core of plum & raisin; light spicy bitterness brings cinnamon, cookie, a herbal hint of tea & a medicinal note. Dryish, herbal hoppy finish, lingering cinnamon, dough, warming liqueur alcohol (reminiscent of Fireball Whisky but in a more refined kind of way). Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Well-made, cinnamon all the way but not out of balance.

MBCC Sunday session, 'No riff raff'. Keg. Opaque dark brown beer, small bubbly tan head. Smooth palate, semi dry, modest fine carbonation. Sweetish tangy dark chocolate malts. Mild coffee. Tangy fruits underneath. Smooth finish. Overall the skewed tang makes for a slightly odd beer.
