Im sehr trockenen und torfigen Malzantrunk sind Röstnoten offensichtlich, vergorene Pflaumennoten sind ebenfalls erkennbar. Der starke Antrunk kann nicht lange gehalten werden, dennoch ist das Bier für unter 5% sehr dicht und aromatisch. Ab dem Mittelteil baut das Bier spürbar ab, danach wird aber besonders die Malzigkeit wieder intensiver, würzig, etwas schokoladig, in der Röstigkeit aber weniger intensiv als im Antrunk. Wenig herb, komplex malzig. Langer Nachgeschmack, in dem das dunkle und kaffeeartige Malz süßer wird. Sehr gelungenes Stout mit viel Tiefe bei wenig Alkohol – so wie es sein sollte. Einzig die Süffigkeit ist zu bemängeln, die Karbonisierung ist einfach zu hoch. 8/11/9/12/10/12

Bottled. A black beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of both sweet and roasted malt as well as lighter notes of soy sauce. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of roasted malt, caramel, and soy sauce, leading to a dry and roasted finish.

Bottled. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, roasted malts, some dark dry fruits and mild ashyness. Flavour is roasted malts, some fruityness, ashes and mild notes of chocolate. A rather drypalated stout. Very tasteful for being 4.7%.

Bottle. Nice head with very good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, coffee and chocolate. High carbonation.

Bottle. Frothy off-white good mostly deminishing head. Black colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Roasted. Moderate biter flavor. Roasted and chocolate notes. Moderate bitter finsih. Oily palate. Nice beer but not a fantastic stout.

Bottle, from trade with Papsoe. It’s a black beer, with almost no head at all. Roasted, coffeeish nose with dried fruits. Not bad at all, but rather boring. Dry, roasted to burnt flavor with a little hops giving bitterness. Almost flat in the mouth, medium body. A decent beer, dry as expected, but it lacks on body and carbonation, and feels a bit one-dimensional. (090522)

Bottle. Dark brown colour with a brown head. Aroma is coffee, roasted, hop. Flavour is coffee, hop, roasted, malt. Medium body. Could be more.

630 ml bottle. Dark brown body, almost black, with a small, dense brown head. Aroma fruity and some roasted malt. Flavor is light roasted malt, fruity and a hint of coffee. The body is a bit watery and I find the flavor quite one-dimensional, still refreshing. It’s actually what the brewery promised, but I’m not to excited anyway.

Bottle 63cl. [ Brew #49 ]. Clear medium to dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, nutty, chocolate, coffee, light to moderate yeasty. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20090403]

Bottle, 6.7%, bryg nr. 49. Fruity aroma, nicely roasted. Almost black colour. Almost no head. The flavour is nicely roasted, slightly creamy. Has a little coffee. Slightly thin mouthfeel. Has a little homebrew paper note in the finish, but not too bad.
