Bottle from the Fuller's advent calendar, day 2. A clear orange amber coloured pour with a a lively beige head. Aroma is nice English hedgerow hop, bramble, green berries, grass. Flavour is composed of nutty brown bread, leafy hedgerow hop, brambles, firm bitterness, light resin. Palate is semi sweet, light resin, highish carbonation, light chalky. Pretty great example of English hops.

Bottle from the Fullers Advent Calendar. It pours clear copper with a decent white head. The aroma is earthy, woody, varnish, nutty, bitter - sweet, caramel, toffee, fragrant, floral and twiggy. The taste is firmly dry, snappy of bitterness, earthy, resinous, sappy, earthy, toasty grains, grass, woody, varnished, some spice and dried floral vibes with a drying finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Quite like this version. Certainly better the first cask batch I remember.

Bottle at home following a soak in the hot tub. This is a higher abv at 5.2 but is so similar in description that it has to sit here. There's a lot going on with well balanced hops and malt with a real softness to the mouthfeel. I ended up with 8 bottles and I'm very pleased.
