Sampled from a 0.75l bottle @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2016. A beer can hardly look any better than this. A purple warm red blurry colored body with a tall and dot-lacing pinkish head. Lovely looking. It smell really good also. Both wild, fruity, sweet with sour cherries, raspberries, cranberries and blueberries. Lovely aroma. It has a good oily texture in the mouth and it's just above average on the carbonation. Really fruity, lots or red berries in the taste also. Blueberries and sour raspberries. Mild blueberry vinegar. Acidic and sharp, yet somewhat lightdrinkable. inkable. Lovely sour. 14.05.2016

750ml bottle courtesy of Toby. Deep, rich grape-y purple body with small bubbly head. Berries dominate the aroma, taste brings more berry sweetness, and the normal funk/sour of a de Garde beer. Oak barrel accents throughout. Nice!

Poured from a 750ml bottle. Aroma is super berry forward. Lots of raspberry notes with some moderate tannin notes. Light oak with hints of tannins. Light phenolics. Balanced jam and juice notes. Some light funk notes. Pours a very dark purple with a small, thick, dark pink head recedes fairly quickly and disappears. No lacing or legs. Flavor is fairly berry forward with a medium acidity that doesn’t come across as sharp. Some light phenolic funk. Quite a bit of berry skin and flesh notes. Light oak. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium to medium low carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice berry forward "The" beer. The base comes through a bit and the acidity isn’t too sharp. Some light funk notes and good complexity form the berry.
