Hövels Zwickelbier - at the brewpub. Looks good in the glass, small head. Starts mild, malty, modest dry. Some spicy-wheaty notes as well. Mild sweetness. Finish well balanced. Not bad.

Keg at the brewpub. Cloudy dark golden with a medium off white head. Aroma had light toasted malt, biscuit and subtle floral notes. Over the palate came light toasted malt, a hint of caramel, subtle floral hops and bread. Finished dry with light bitterness.

Draft at the Brauhaus in Dortmund. Orange with a frothy white head. Not much of an aroma. Mostly straw with yeasty undertones. Taste is mildly bitter, grainy, dry, with cotton and herbs. Medium body. Okay.

On tap at Hövels Hausbrauerei, Dortmund. Comes with a hazy, dark geldeon color and a very nice white head. Very picturesque. Nose is sweet malts, grains, a little grass and some citric notes. Taste is sweet malty, caramel, some lemon and some yeasty flavours. As it gets warm, the finish gets sweeter.

0.3 l on tap at the brewpub. Hazy, golden amber with a medium large, dense, stable, tan to white head. Sweetish-malty aroma of bread, honey, some caramel and a bit of lemon. Sweetish-malty taste of bread, honey, some caramel and hints of lemon, followed by a short, yeasty, slightly bitter and minimally sourish finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!
