Cask, third, shared with Finn at Manchester Beer & Cider Festival, Coast To Coast Bar. Bright warm golden body, white head, clingy lacing. Modest smell of ripe citrus. Malt-fruity flavours, bread and citrus. Drying ending, discreet bitterness. Average. (Third day of the festival, 24.01.2020).

500ml brown bottle purchased at the brewery in 2014 and broached on 30th Jan 2015, while just in date. Pours a bright and clear light golden colour, on top a full but swiftly fading white crown. The vase shaped pint glass showed off the lightness and clarity of the beer well. My bottles label claims 3.9% ABV, but there is little evidence of alcohol within the brew. Light maltiness and fairly bitter hop wise in the taste, so close to it’s Best Before Date, this might be not at it’s best. Can not score it well, apart from looks: sorry.

Ok... in a departure from normal rating... due to the INCREDIBLY high number of BLOND ales during the Shefiled trip that all blended into one another im breaking them down into three catagories Catagory A : Golden Yellow ... light fruity lemon hop nose ... soft dull light lemon hop Catagory B : Amber ... light dry lemon hop ... soft light lemon hop with a little malt in background Catagory C : Amber ... soapy lemon nose ... light brigh lemon hop Catagory D : Amber ... light grassy lemon hop ... dry grassy lemon hop Catagory E : Amber ... light grapefruit hop ... again light hop with a little grapefruit This is a Catagory E
