On tap at Sct Clemens, Århus. It pours an unclear, dark brown body under a finger-thick, dense, light beige head. The aroma has licorice and roasted malts, mostly licorice that is. The same goes for the flavor, licorice dominates, with roasted malts in the back. Some roasted kind of bitterness. It’s full-bodied and dryish on the palate, with a nice carbonation level. Some coffee shows up in the finish, which as the initial flavor and aroma is dominated by licorice and roasted malts. A one dimensional beer, but nice indeed. 140804

Draft. A hazy brown beer with a thick orangey head. The aroma has notes of malt, fruit - citrusy, and lots of spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt as well as lighter notes of roasted malt, straw, caramel, citrus, and spices, leading to a dry and lightly roasted and spicy finish.

Tap @ Flakhaven as Apollo Ale. Pours dark brown with a red hew and a creamy off white head. Quite ashy and dusty nose. Taste is sweet of caramel, rye-bread and dust. Medium to light thin palate. Quite simple and OK.

Draught at Flakhaven, Odense
Dark mahogany color; creamy head. Some chocolate aroma and flavor; the mouthfeel is medium-dry and the bitterness is correct. Not bad, but very ordinary.

On tap. Opaque dark brown with a creamy, beige head. Distinct butter aroma and sweet dark maltiness. Medium body with lightly burned malt accents, licorice, vanilla and unfortunately still butter. Some malt bitterness in the finish. Without the butter this would’ve been excellent. 190109
