Cask, Counting House, Glasgow. Orangey-brown, quite sweet like cookies, bit of toast. Fairly uneventful brown bitter.

Cask at The New Oxford, Manchester as JDW Own / Not Any More. An amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and butter caramels. THe flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel, leading to a dry and lightly bitter finish. The body is light.

Cask handpull at Standing Order, JDW, Edinburgh. Gold, lasting cream head. Attractive premium bitter, soft due to the sparkler, but decent hop/malt balance, hop is quite tasty and this went down easily enough

Cask conditioned at The Standing Order, Edinburgh (a JDW pub), as "Strathaven The Standing Order Red Ale" (allegedly brewed specially for this pub). ABV was 5.1%. Amber colour, low head. Very moderate aroma, nothing really stands out, maybe a hint of blackcurrant leaves. Fruity flavour, notes of red berries, decent hops. Quite nice.

Standing Order Edinburgh... Red ale.. Light brown , smooth mouth feel ... odd grassy back bone to this, common to lotsof Strathaven ales ... some fruity malts ... little caramel andlight hop. It grew on me. Was also a bit cold.
