On gravity at the Royal Oak, Bath, winter festival 21/02/09. Near black with a slight tan head. Bitter chocolate and vanilla aroma, with plenty of roasted malts. Relatively light mouth feel, with some dark fruit, more chocolate and roastiness and a slightly acetic finish. Did not stand up in comparison to the Bazens’ Knoll Street Porter which was tried at the same time, but still likeable.
