Staat dat deze uit productie is, maar gedronken bij bar in Petra uit een halve liter fles. Een prima weizen, doet Duits aan. Banaan in aroma en smaak. Lekker.

Bottle. Cloudy dark orange with an ok white head. Aroma of ripe bananas, wheat and some clove. Taste of ripe bananas, wheat, clove, some vanilla and a little bit of citrus fruits. Low bitterness. Strong carbonation. Pretty decent and for what it’s worth it’s definitely one of the better Greek Hefeweizens.

0,5 l bottle from a supermarket in Rhodes City. Murky pale golden nearly juicy yellow in the glass. One finger white head. Smells orange banana. Taste has dry wheat, less fruity. Increasing wheat and yeast with a decent bitterness in the aftertaste. High carbonation. Need some more deepness.

From old notes. 330ml botle. Hazy golden orange color with off white head. Malty and yeasty aroma, light spicy and light fruity (banana). Sweet taste. Light to medium thin body with soft carbonation.

[Thanks to fugitive]. Bottled. Light and hazy orange with a white head, short duration for a German Hefeweizen. Aroma is citrus, wheat, yeast and cinnamon. Flavor is wheaty, with cinnamon hints and yeasty. The final is malty with citrus notes.

September 2008: A Greek Hefeweizen, it had to be tried. Found in a bar while on the lovely Isle of Crete. Poured into the breweries glassware it looked the part. A huge head sat on top of a moody looking cloudy, creamy orange body of beer. The aromas were citrus fruits, mostly lemon and grapefruits, I also found cloves in the mix. I like to pick up vanilla and banana esters in a Hefeweizen, but that’s just me! There were none in this beer (I had two, just to make sure). The taste followed the aromas almost to the letter although I thought some vanilla did come into the flavours I picked up. The depth of body just let this beer down a little. Refreshing it was, but I wanted more crispness and sharpness to it. A fine attempt at a Hefeweizen, but just failing to ’float my boat’ enough for me to endorse it fully.

500 ml shared bottle, as Craft Weiss Beer, thanks to our beerpal Jan Magnus who brought it from Greece. ABV is 5.0%. Cloudy orange colour, moderate white head. Aroma with notes of malt and wort, overshadows the typical h.w. notes of cloves and banana. Also notes of over-ripe berries. Wheaty flavour, refreshing, with a more pronounced hoppy bitterness than in many other hefeweizens.
