Craft Weiss is an unfiltered wheat beer with characteristic fruity aromas and smooth flavor. The special hefe-weizen yeast from German monastery breweries produces natural aromas that remind of exotic fruits, while the wheat malt provides the perfect cereal taste base. The beer is served unfiltered with the live yeast in special curvy glasses that best convey the special aromas. The live yeast in the glass preserves the freshness of this special beer and provides precious vitamins, antioxidants, and trace elements. Refreshment, rejuvenation, and pure joy co-exist in the same glass!

Bottle 33cl. @ [ Chris O’s pre NYE Tasting ].Unclear hazy medium yellow orange color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, wheaty, spelt, cardboard. Flavor is light sweet with a average to short duration, and a dry finsh. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. 33 cL bottle, courtesy of fiulijn. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Wheaty and slight yeasty aroma of mild caramel malt. Fruity flavoured and roasted malt. Ends mild fruity and light banana estery.

At the tourist ghetto Platanias in Crete there is a outside bar called Cafe, Cafe right in the middle of the town offering four of the products from the Craft Brewery. I started with 450ml of the weissbier. Served in good temperature from tap in a long and tall, original craft glass. Hazy amber colour, white disappearing foam. Fresh fruity aroma. Pleasant taste of soft oranges. Dry finish. Moreish. The beers from Craft proves that Greece is not a completley beer desert (27.05.2006).

One of the seven beers that Craft produces (Craft is a fine Brewery/restaurant, there are three in Athens). A very nice weiss beer. Full taste and aroma. the second best craft beer.
