Bottle. Pours a clear, amber body with a fine beige head. Spiced aroma with clove, cardamom, some almond notes and a hint of cherry. Sweetish. The flavor is sure on the sweet side, cloying, with almond-notes, artificial cherry, and a spicy touch. Rather watery mouthfeel even though it’s sticky sweet, and a finish with some cherry and almond, as well as sugar, cardamom and cloves. Marzipan also comes to my mind, regarding flavor. Not a beer to repeat. (080426)

(bottle) Sweet and slightly artificially fruity (cherry, citrus) nose with marzipan and spices and a shy hoppy touch in the background. Syrupy sweet flavour, light bodied with a medium carbonation. Strong fruits accented and spicy taste with faint malty notes; sweetish and slightly cloying finish. Probably still better than the most cheap Glühwines.

Bottle. Weird beer but I think it has a place. Frothy off-white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Moderate malty aroma with strong marzipan notes. Very sweet flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Watery palate. Good to ris a la mande?

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is dark ruby. Aroma and taste are cherry wine with a fizz. Almost couldnt tell if this was Kijafa or not.

A red-brown beer with a light brown head. The aroma is artificial with notes of marzipan, cherries, christmas cake with candied lemon peel, and cinnamon bread - I don’t want my beer to have this aroma. The flavor is sweet with notes of marzipan and cinnamon bread - a little like Amaretto. The end is dry, but the body is thin. Sampled from the fridge.

(Bottle 50 cl) 95% porter and 5% cherry syrup which must contain some very strong aromas, as this beer tastes excessively from cherries. Almost mahogany in colour with a defined reddish tint. Apparently you can have this warm as well, I had mine straight from the fridge though. Light bitterness from the porter, but the sticky, sickening sweet cherry-flavour dominates all over. Tough one to drink. And who the f... dragged the above commercial description through Babel Fish?? "The sagenhaft sueffige taste of "Lausitzer Porter", supplemented by the aromatically winter Punschnote, Porter+Punsch makes the ideal winter drunkenness." That sounds like something out of the Nurenberg trials - or Monty Python... 060205
