Your palate is a temple So why assault it with big brand, bland lager? This easy to drink, Dublin beer was the original lager of Temple Bar. True to the style, Hallertau hops work wonders with malted Irish barley to create a genuine Irish lager that has – unexpectedly for some, perhaps – genuine flavour. Is Temple Lager the best lager in Dublin currently? Who knows? Probably!

Tap at the Porterhouse, Covent Garden. A typical lager look, straw with a white head; crisp grainy aroma; clean grainy taste with some short bitterness before a floral finish. Not bad, particularly on a hot day, and certainly better than the average macro lagers.

Draft @ Porterhouse, Dublin. dorée/orange, blanche. Houblonnée, fruitée allant vers la poire avec note de pin/houblon, malt est aussi léger et discret donnant une touche de malt pils, citronnée et légèrement amer.

Medium straw colour. Fairly non-existent aroma, maybe a bit toasty. Tastes a bit toasty, maybe mushroomy like the Chiller. Boring.

Draught at Porterhouse, Dublin. Clear pale golden, minimal head. Fruit nose. Sweet and mineraly with light-medium body and clean mouthfeel. Fruity and hard with lifeless mouthfeel and strong minerally notes. Salty bitterish finish. Too hard and fruity.

Tap a Porterhouse, London. Pours a clear, light yellow with a soft, bare head. Light malt and cereal aroma. Sweet and thin flavor with some honey and faint hops. Light bodied with fizzy carbonation. Finishes crisp and lightly sweet. Nothing wrong here.
