Created in 1983, this premium, light Canadian Pilsener is a delicately balanced beer brewed with Cascade hops and a blend of malt. With a slight sweetness and citrus-like hop character, it’s fresh, crisp and brewed to the highest quality standards.

Blue light or light blue, this beer is the color of any other pale yellow american beer and looks identical to Old German. 12 oz pop top silver and blue can. Crack the lid and pour, it has a cleanly lighter somewhat alcoholic aroma. I say cleaner but perhaps I mean more chemically sterile. Has a thin white foamy head that fades to a froth. One or two streams of continuous carbonation inside. Taste has personality, more-so than what I would expect from a gentleman’s lager. Flavor is a bit industrial, or is that Canadian? Isn’t Canada, Mexico and the united states all part of america; along with Brazil and Yugo? This beer does not come on like a light, actually it is more on the impact of a regular premium lager, or more. For a light beer, there certainly seems to be an alky impact, bestowing the amount listed here. No way can this be 4%! Finish has an odd short term industrial bitterness that is not readily identifiable. The bitterness is not overwhelming but is ever-present. It lingers just for a short time but just enough to let you know it is not smooth. It is interesting to note that the aroma, flavor and finish all have that unique high pitched clean attribute. Does not do justice to it’s bigger brother Labatt Blue, not quite as refreshing.

Straw color, medium artificial head. Grassy pasta aroma. Empty palate, a hint of beer, fizz, and lightly bitter finish. Well balanced for being a balancing act of two nothings.

This is by far the best light beer on the market - not much aroma but a good tasting beer for a light. I rated this higher just because it is a great light beer - doesn’t measure up to other great regular beers but my first choice in a light.

Very light golden... looks like watered down beer. Smells light and cheap... not really skunked, but somewhere along those lines. Tastes like a half and half (hald beer, half water that is). Only reason this is average in drinkability is because something lacking that much flavor is like drinking water... easy to do, though not really something that you crave when you want flavor.

Standard macro brew with a huge water aftertaste. Not my favorite to start with but it seems that this one if the regular Blue diluted with water. Try this from a can in a christmas party and let's just say that next year I'll make sure to bring my own brew.

Rating #666:
Clear pale light golden colour with a very thin white head. Almost no aroma but a slight metal and stale malt scent is present. Light-bodied; Almost no taste as well, but a faint sweetness and metallic twang are noticed before it turns to water. Aftertate, WHAT Aftertaste? Overall, good to drink if you are stupid, have no class, are poor, like water, don't have a brain or if you don't like beer! I was following Daniwerks' lead rating a piece of trash for #666, and while being up at college in Rochester, New York and seeing people drink this...I have to rate it at least once before I leave. I found this by the side of the road and sampled it on 2-October-2003.

Had a can of this and a can of Michelob Light at a Bluejackets game. Back and forth I went between the two, back and forth, Labatt and Michelob, Michelob and Labatt. There literally was no difference. Both had next to no aroma or flavor. Both sucked sour frog ass. Taste tests between two crappy beers are not fun. At least they were free.

i like this beer in bottles. tastes good to me for some reason. Cereal grains are masked by the lightness. Not quite as crisp as id like. Good for 5.99 12 pack and much better than natty or busch. still a bad beer by all means though.

Honestly, it's not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I did pick up a hint of hop and touch of malt. Not to mention that the harsh graininess which typifies Blue is tempered by the increased water content. In short, if you're into the light beer thing, this is one of the better mass-produced ones on the market.
