Since Day One, we've been abundantly forthright and fully transparent about our lust for hops. It's led us to craft many an IPA, most of them imperial—some intense for their time and all timeless in their intensity. For Stone Go To IPA, we embrace our hop obsession in a new way, funneling an abundance of lupulin-borne bitterness into a session IPA that delivers all the fruity, piney character of a much bigger IPA. To accomplish this, we employ hop bursting, a technique wherein an irrational amount of hops is added during the final phase of the brewing process to bring out extreme flavors and aromas while also imparting a burst of desirably pleasant bitterness. The result is an alpha-acid-rich beer that fans can enjoy more of without missing out on the assertive hop character you, like us, crave. So, sit back and go two with your new everyday go-to IPA and bask along with us in the glory of the almighty hop.
This beer employed the hop-bursting technique, which in essence is a hopping method where all or most of the bitterness in the beer comes from late hop additions in the brewhouse, like at the end of boil and in the whirlpool, instead of the more traditional approach where most of the hop bitterness comes from earlier additions at the start of the kettle boil. The result is a beautifully aromatic beer with substantial but somewhat mellow bitterness. Hop bursting also enhances the flavor retention of the hops, and combined with the dry hop, creates a very intense and complex hop flavor.

33 cl. can as "Stone (Berlin) Go To IPA". Canned in October 2016, so not that fresh. Hazy, golden colour with a medium sized white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, spruce, tropical impressions, Taste is bitter. Medium bodied with a creamy texture and an average carbonation. Good for the abv. Finishes dry and lasting bitter with pines and citrus fruits. Excellent lighter IPA - extra credits for the lower abv.

0.33l can. Clear light golden with medium white head. Aroma: grapefruit, tangerine, resins, spicy. Taste: resins, mango, citrus, juicy, black pepper, biscuits. Light body, moderate arbonation. Light but long lasting fruity bitterness. Balnced and highly drinkable.

An extremely well made and typically "American" IPA. A nice opague orange with a strong aroma and flavour of fruity hops that bely the relatively low abv. A good mouth feel and a flavour that lingered. There’s nothing to dislike, but it was just a bit "clinical."

Gusher with a huge frothy white head that left a good cover on a hazy orange coloured body. Juicy aroma with hops, orange & Tropical fruits. Medium bodied sharp & well carbonated on the palate with a dry clean finish. Bitter hoppy tastes with pith, grapefruit & confectionery.

Can from Beer Gonzo, Earlsdon, Coventry consumed at home Sunday 29th January 2017 whilst cooking Beef and Mushroom Carbonnade. Pours clear gold with a head (white) that swiftly departed. Some mushy tropical fruits, soft in the mouth, lacks a little body, but pretty decent for an easy drinking session IPA, amazed that I’d not rwted it as I’d had it plenty. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

CAN 33 CL Berlin. Hazy golden, white head. Mellow and inoffensive aroma - sweet citrus, pale malts, hints if honey, just a little pithy. Subtle sweetness, subtle pale malts, soft resiny/piney hops. Light body, but not watery. A well made easy drinking session ale.

0,33 boks fra Gulating Stavanger, delt med Ovesen etter endt tapping av vår EKG Single Hop: lett uklar korngul med flott skum som varer. Nydelig aroma av tropiske frukter og granskudd, og smaken likeså - bare enda bedre. Rund og behagelig munnfølelse med saftig maltkropp og en lekker bitterhet i ettersmaken. Et prakteksempel av en ipa i butikkstyrke. 4,7%, brygget i Berlin. En sixpack av denne anytime som helst!
