This Imperial IPA has an assertive aroma of sticky, resinous Summit hops. A complex flavor profile includes notes of grapefruit, lemon peel, and spruce. Though the flavor focus is on hops, a trio of malts provides a balance to the beer, creating a delicious level of palatability. Hints of caramel, toffee and freshly-baked biscuits are also apparent in the flavor profile.

Bottle: Bright golden orange with a large, creamy sand colored head. Aroma is lively with citrus and plenty of sweetness. Light florals. Tastes of citrus and florals, the caramel malt makes an appearance. ABV is also detectable, maybe more than desirable. Still, a load of hops and a nice malt package. Thanks Pepsican!

12 oz bottle (bottle code b2) from Gregis. Pour is basketball orange, clear, with a 2 inch off white head. Aroma of grassy, piney and sweet citrus fruit hops. Nice nose. Taste is not quite as big as the nose would have suggested. Pretty much all the flavors from the nose, with some honey sweetness in the finish. Decent DIPA. Thanks for sharing this one Greg!

12oz bottle. Medium deep amber-orange color, unfiltered. Intense truly grapefruit aroma. The grapefruit characteristics also come through in the taste. I think beers like this one and Bells Hopslam have really raised the bar in terms of super hoppy beers. The hoppy flavors of course dominate, but I also pick up a little amber malt tastes. Great beer, maximum recommendation to the hopheads.

Pour is a bright oragne with a small white head. Aroma is very hoppy, citrus and a bit fruity. Flavor is a typical hop bomb with a creamy fruityness. Some pine is left on the tounge after the swallow. Definate focus is on the hops like it says as the malts are there but are kind of diminished. Still, this is a very tasty beer for hop heads and easy to drink.

Draft taster at The Map Room. Light, almost pale lager color. But thatβs from a small sample in a regular sized glass. Smell from that sample is pretty hop-intense. Pine needles, grapefruit, and yes, catbox, all very fresh. Big grainy malt taste. The kind of beer thatβll be hard to keep making if current trends continue. Get one while you can.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark copper color with a medium sized yellow-white head. The aroma was strong fruity, floral and piney hops. There was a remarkable depth and complexity to the hop presence in the nose. The flavor was sweet, fruity and tangy with strong notes of grapefruit, pine and floral hops. There is a solid nutty caramel malt base underneath. The finish was long, sweet and hoppy. The body was reasonably thick.

12 oz bottle. Deep amber-copper body, medium to thick off-white head. Sharp, bright citrusy hops aroma, punctuated by abundant sugars. Like a sweet hops pulp with medicinal undertones. The body is a potent herbal, medicinal hops tea with warming alcohol notes. The hops are a little over the top for me, but an ample, sweet but not syrupy malt backbone holds everything together. There is an interesting delicateness here unexpected in such a potent beer. A brew worthy of many more a sip.

Smell is astringent spruce hops and latex paint. The look is jackanapes. Palate feels like a despicable medicine maelstrom. A sapanaceous experience on the taste buds. Overall; the euphoric perfect of hop sessions. Gimcrack!
