Paper and nothing. Not much beyond that. Kind of like Iceland, Geographically. Golden pour. Foamy head. Can at airport 5 pack.

Shared 500ml can. Really, really bland watery lager. Absolutely average, nothing notable whatsoever

Clear yellow, light bitter smell. It’s a totally inoffensive lager. That’s pretty much it.

Can at home in Hackney - sourced from the Reykjavik airport. Pours crystal clear yellow with a small, foamy white head. The nose holds simple cereal, pale grains, a little dough. Light sweet flavour with more basic cereal character, faint bitter hay, pale bread. Light bodied with average carbonation. A little drying in the finish, with more crispy cereal, slight paper, biscuits, straw. Fine pale lager.

Big offwhite head quickly grows coarse, then shrinks with a fizzy sound. Clear pale yellow body with big-bubbled carbonation. Papery mealy aroma with fruity notes. Dry papery strawy taste. Mid-bodied. Slightly abrasive mouthfeel. Dryish papery mealy aftertaste with strawy chemical notes. Well. It’s just barely drinkable. What flavour there is is about as nice as water. (0.5l can, from Vinbudin Akureyri.)

50cl can from Vínbúðin, Borganes. Pours pale yellow with a minimal, white head. Mild grainy aroma with notes of cooked vegetables and just a hint of hops. Fizzy, watery and slightly grainy with a light bitterness. Possibly drinkable ice cold on a hot day, but I might prefer some mineral water instead.
