From Amstein, drinking this powerful quad, at home, in Epalinges. This ale is rich of aromas, spicy, cynamon, cloves, plum, apricot, goooood. It is the kind of beer perfect during the autumn/winter.27.12.2018, during our second month in this flat.

Bottle from local bottle shop. Aroma is malt, caramel, ’winter’ spices, nutmeg, toffee, clove, cinnamon, touch of almonds. Flavour is medium sweet and light bitter. Medium bodied. Pretty heavy on the spices for my taste, not too sweet, spices could be more subtle, fairly enjoyable.

330 mL bottle dated August 10, 2019. Overcarbonated like the first two bottles I opened, but I was ready this time. A very deep red pour with a lot of debris and an off-white head. Spicy aromas (ginger, clove, nutmeg), malty with grape and molasses. Flavor has the clove, ginger spices, with dark malty molasses and green and red grape. Medium body, a bit lighter than the ABV would suggest. It's quite good.

The aromas are a mild blend of medium malt, maybe figs, maybe a little spice and perhaps some candy sugar. Flavors are somewhat similar to nose, very well balanced qualities just right bitter, sweet, carbonation. Good body carbonation and finish. Very nice beer.

330 ml bottle. Mahogany brown color with reddish highlights. Creamy beige head. Toasted malt aroma hints at dried cherries and spices, perhaps cinnamon. Flavor has rich dried fruit overtones. Cherry, fig and black currants. Notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, orange peel and candi sugar. A hint of fruity, earthy yeastiness. Full flavored with a hint of winter spice. Quite nice.
