Bottle at World of Beer, Johannesburg
Light amber color with medium sized head. The aroma is acceptable, malty. The mouthfeel is dry, the malt flavor is poor, with cereals and corn feeling, and a light metallic touch. The bitterness is rather low. I couldn’t finish it.

Dull amber colour. Slightly caramelly nose with crackery notes. Similar taste, with a good bit of carbonation to keep the sweet caramel in check. Still, a bland macro amber lager.

Aroma is harsh burnt hops and sour malts. Okay yellow body, decent head. Flavour is caramel, burnt malt, some vague hops. Weak mouthfeel. Would probably work on a hot day in South Africa, but that’s about it.

Bottle, from Offy in Sandton, Joburg. Poured clear golden with a fading white head. Unremarkable malty aroma. Flavour slightly sweet with some muted hop and a bit of a metallic edge. Saw a huge billboard declaring this had won some gold medal at a Brussels beer awards or suchlike. Really can’t see why. This is average at best.
