One of those delightfully old-fashioned table beers, tasted from tap at a beer festival from the Leuvense Biertherapeuten a few years ago; snow white, stable head, deep ’old gold’ colour. Sweetish, grainy character with sourish touch, obviously thin as usual for the style but still fuller than average, with mild hop bitterishness in the finish. Very decent - for the style, that is. It’s a good thing these old family breweries still maintain this tradition of ’beer for daily use’ (i.e. without the risk of getting drunk), as it is a far better alternative to soda pops or alcohol free beers.

Bottled. A hazy light golden beer with a bubbly off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt and straw. The flavor is sweet, but lacks malt, leading to a dry finish. The body is light. Boring tafel beer.

Bottle, 2%. Weak teaish soapy aroma. Clear golden colour. Very small white head. The flavour has some fruity and flowery hop aroma. The flavour is OK, but also very thin.

Bottle 25 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Clear pale golden with a very white head. Perfumy coriander nose. Thin and watery with a very heavy carbonation, no traces of malt at all and no hops either. Appears as carbonated water with added coriander. 291108

Bottled. Hazy pale yellow, brief airy head. Sulphury aroma with massive amounts of burnt rubber. Sweet, thin and metallic. The sulphury flavour of burning plastic reaches extreme levels, and lasts forever. Absolutely undrinkable.

At Aarschots Bierfestivn, Belgium, on March 23, 2008. (33 cl bottle) BB May 2008. Clear pale yellow color, smallish white head. Sweet wort scent, way too sweet, this can’t be good. Thin sweet taste, a bit herbal. Also herbal aftertaste. Thin mouthfeel. Very low, slim to none, bitterness. Also sweet flast aftertaste.

Bottled. Golden colour, with longlasting and lacing head. Aroma is weird, some earthy fruits, slight metal and mild spices. Flavour is quite much the same along with some papery hints. Actually not bad for a 2 % thing. Gets more fruity and spicy after it warms up a bit.

Bottle at GBBF 2006. Gold with lasting white head. Rather a nice aroma for a something I wasn’t especially looking forward to. Some nice hop citrus. Thinnish in mouth. Quite a nice dry hoppy finish. Not bad.
