This 6.0% ABV Helles Export Lager was brewed with continental malts and noble hops. Bright golden in color with notes of bread dough, honeysuckle, and hay with a full body and firm bitterness, this single decocted pale lager is well-rounded with a lightly mineral finish.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to mug.
Appearance: glossy yellow color with some transparency about it and a finger and a half of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: floral to earthy hops with some honey-ed biscuity/bready malts
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a fine semi-sweet malty quality: finishes crisp with the honey-ed biscuity/bready malty tones
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; clean smoothness
Overall: nicely done Dortmunder I'd be willing to come back to.

Unexpectedly sweet, lots of honey and sugary grain cereal with an undercurrent of apple and toast, finished off by a firm floral bitterness. Not bad.

My 20th von Trapp beer rating. 16 ounce can from Pinocchio’s in Media, PA. Honey gold color. Fluffy white head. Bready malt aroma has a hint of honeysuckle. Flavor is sweet malt and herbal hops. Notes of honey and cut grass. Some minerality and spiciness as well. Wonderful balance and flavor. An excellent example of the Dortmunder style.

Pour is a darker gold with a large white head. Aroma is biscuit malt with also a bit of honey malt. Flavor is bready and dry with a little sweetness on the back end with a thicker than usual for the style mouthfeel. This was pretty good but the only negative and it is minor is that there was not much of a hop presence.

Can, best by 7/26/2025, drunk 4/8/2025.
Clear deep brass-copper. Medium-sized, white head, lower retention.
Lightly toasted grain with a deep base malt adding a rich honey-like character. Clean and bright with a good complexity and mild, yet aromatic, herbal hop notes.
Rich and malty, maybe a touch soft and mushy, with very low bitterness. But there's some biscuit, some bitterness and an excellent complexity of malt, regardless. Clean, rich, malty.
