Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Clear orangey brown with an off-white head. Aroma of pumpernickel and lightly burned malt. Medium body with hard roasted malts and some licorice notes. Dry, malty bitter finish. A very unusual and different Dunkel, more of a Stout really. 281108

50 cL bottle, courtesy of fonefan. Pours clear and golden deep amber with a fully gone head. Smooth roasted malt to breadish aroma. Medium sweet, light liqourice and roasted malt. Smooth and breadish into the finish. Gives away and mild acidic roastedness and mild bitterness into the far finish. Nice one.

Vom Fass at the brewery tap 27 Jun 07. Dark brown colored. A small creamy head - lasting for a few minutes. Some malt in the aroma. Otherwise quite anonymous with some traces of caramel.

On tap (at the brewery) Chestnut-amber coloured, smaller lacing off-white head; nutty, caramelly nose with a toasted touch and a metallic tinge; solid bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; caramelly, slightly sweetish finish with a bitter counterpart in the aftertaste. Well balanced, delicious brew..........

Bottle at Reading BF 06. Deep ruby with lasting bneige head. Overly carbonated, nice toffee though. Some coffee and bit of choc. I am a big fan of dunkels and this hit the spot.

Bottle
Red chestnut colouring, creamy brown head. Roasted, caramelized and hopfresh aroma. Slightly roasted and nutty favors, fresh, but somewhat one-dimensional. Medium to light body, lacking exit - ever so slight caramel and nut aftertaste.

Test vom 2.4.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,9,11,7,8,8 - 8,65
