Milkshake IPA

A Double Dry Hopped Lactose IPA with a touch of Tangerine and Vanilla

Yeah we had to try one… a Milkshake beer. In this case we mixed up an easy going session ale IPA and added some lactose to sweeten things up. We then put in a bit of mango, lime and vanilla to create an orange-sickle like flavour. It’s light and tasty and a tad different than your ordinary IPA.

Hops: Simcoe / Citra / Amarillo

BPBW Day 1, CZ ticking table. Pale yellow body, didn't note a head. Candy floss and vanilla in the aroma, some fruity touches. Candy floss dominates the taste as well, lactoseish and vaguely fruity. Lean, light, nicely smooth but weird and fakeish.

Large tight white head on a hazy pale golden coloured body.
Peach & citrussy aroma.
Medium bodied, foamy & dry on the back.
Orange, peach, lactose & cheesecake tastes with a tangy finish.
Not my sort of thing.

Can 33 cl. Cloudy, opaque grayish golden with a tiny, rough, white head. Citrus and vanilla aroma. Light body, some vanilla sweetnes and bubblegum notes with a citrusy hint. Lowish carbonation and little bitterness. An odd bird. 310325

Tap @ Både &, Kristiansand. Slightly unclear golden body with a medium sized white head. Strong aroma of vanilla and rubber, actually difficult to detect anything else here. I like vanilla, mango, milkshake and IPA, but this is just way out of balance. Way too much vanilla and lactose. Like someone gone totally wild in the kitchen here. If there ever was a little sign of an IPA here it has totally disappeared behind all the other stuff. It’s sticky sweet, tasting artificial, almost like rubber and I could hardly manage to finish my sample glass with this one.
